Upload a storyboard. Some tips for you (Part one)

I noticed that some cool members started to join our storyboard. I'm so glad of it! I wanna give you some tips to upload your stories in the more easy way!
When your story (or storyboard for a machinima or anything else) is well planned and ready, you can start to upload the first picture of it.
To do it: go in the upload page, select the right world and choose “storyboard” as the media. Then browse the first frame/screenshot and upload it.
Once published, below the image you'll find the link “Add other frames”. Click on it and in the subsequent popup window browse and choose the other frames you wanna add to your story.
Beside the images boxes you have boxes for the texts. Copy and paste your texts inside the boxes or write directly into it.
With our uploadeder you can upload 5 images at a time; so if your story is longer than 6 images, repeat this procedure more times.
Storyboard can be up to 30 frames long! If your story is longer than 30, try to divide it in parts or chapters. Hope this post help. See you next days, with other tips for the storyboard!

Try Story Show! The Koinup tool for your stories!

I'm glad to tell you that today we launched the "Story Show". It's a slide show tool that allow you to enjoy Koinup stories in a coolest way! With Story Show you can see storyboards in a slideshow style!

Have storyboards some text in it? It is not a problem. Story Show grants a great visualization to both words and images!

It is very ease to use. While watching at some stories you have always the chance to display it as a list or as a storyshow. If you choose the Story Show display mode, you can let it to flip trought all the pictures and words or you can browse the story in the order you like it!

Some members ask me when it is better to use storyboard instead of pictures. I think that storyboard work fine what you have to say something that it is not so easy to tell with only one picture. Some Koinup artists use Koinup to publish fashion styling. Others use it to report on travels and adventures they have in virtual environment. Other use storyboard to make tutorials.
Koinup is your website, we'll be very glad to see a lot of unexpected uses of storyboard!

Add a tag to someone else work!

In Koinup you can! When you see a work that caught your eyes, you can assign it all the tags you want! We call this feature “Community Tagging”!
In Koinup you can not only comment on works created by other members, but also add tags to them
While comments express your opinion about a work, tags are more about the description of it. So if you think that the author of a work miss to describe some aspects of it, you could add other tags. For all details on Social/Community Tagging you can have a view at our faq page. Before browsing all aspects of social tagging, take care of this two main aspects:

1)While uploading your work, you can choose to allow social tags or not!
2)Social tags doesn't affect the ranking of a work!

Looking for a work to start "community tagging"? Have a look to our more recent machinima, pictures and stories

All sizes for Koinup pictures!

I'm very glad to tell you that now all Koinup pictures can be viewed in all sizes! I'm sure that you'll enjoy this feature.....

We introduced "all sizes" yesterday, but don't worry, it works not only for the picture you're going to upload since now, but also for all pictures yet posted in Koinup!

Our members, mainly if photography enthusiasts, can enjoy a lot more Koinup, now. At the larger size available for view (that is 1024x1024) you can appreciate all the qualities of the picture as light effects, subject details, chromatic modifications, etc.

But the feature could also work fine for machinima authors which want to share posters of their movies or graphics and other stuffs related to their videos!

You can find the link to activate all sizes below any picture. The detail above is from Vintage Midnight City, by Decorgal

Take a screenshot to your (virtual) life!

Dear Koinup-ers,

Someone said that screenshots shooted in worlds as Second Life,
The Sims and other worlds aren't real photos. These guys says that screenshots were so limited that could not be compare to photos!

One of the reason because we created Koinup is that we think that these guys are completely wrong! We at Koinup are sure that screenshots are definitely photos!
Really and effective photos!

People in Koinup use screenshot to describe themselves , their avatars

or to represent their favourite places and virtual architecture

Screenshots can be art forms, stories, memories, bookmarks. They could be natural, modified, artistic or absolutely ordinary. But they are always a great media to express yourself in your virtual life !
