Filter by your favourite world

You'd like to see Koinup recent works only from some worlds? Are you interested only in Second Life, The Sims or IMVU? We have a new Koinup brand tool that match this!

It is called “filter by your favourite world” and it allows each member to select his/her favourite world in his/her homepage and to see latest works from koinup users only from the world he has selected

So, if you are interested only in Second Life contents, you can filter by Second Life.....if you are interested only in World of Warcraft, you can filter by World of Warcraft....it so easy!

This tool allows people to get from Koinup only they like and only what they are interested in.....


You can find this new tool in the launch area of you home. Once you changed the filter, it will maintain the preferences, until you'll change them again.

A new brand preview for your storyboard

Last days, we introduced a specific preview for the storyboards. So, now you can discern with just a quick look, if a work is whole story or only a picture.

It was some time that we were thinking on this feature. As you know, Koinup is a multi media based social network. Members can upload pictures, stories/storyboard and videos (machinima).
We always thought that each media has its own specificity, so since the launch of koinup we worked on unique previews for each media. And these days, it happened that we completed the circle....
Pictures have their thumbs, videos their own loops and storyboards eventually have their own well-framed preview. What's about it?
Well, hope you like it....So, what a better moment to have a look at our last coolest stories?

Some more updates in Koinup

These days we made some firm updates in Koinup. Mainly, we modified the user's homepage and introduce some new features. Now, I'm waiting for you feedback!

These are the main modifications we activated for you:

1)LAUNCH PAGE: when you log in Koinup, now you have a different launch page. In the upper side of the page you have the launch area with a preview of recent works in koinup and the links to have a look at your recent activity, etc. In the down side of the page you have your works and your properly homepage

3)USER HOME: The homepage of the user is radically different than before. Now you have a more complex homepage which features your coolest works, your recent works, the comment on your profile and a preview of your contacts and favourite works. The new homepage is a sort of snapshots of your Koinup status!

4)FILTER BY WORLDS: In the launch area of the home, we introduce a new Koinup brand feature. Now, you can filter the recent koinup works by the world you are interested in. If you are interested only in Second Life works, now you can receive preview only from Second Life.....and if you change preferences, you'll come back to the default option.

5)COOLEST AND RECENT: The last updates is about your works. Now you can browse the author's works by more recent and coolest.

6)COMMENT ON PROFILE: Since now, if someone add a comment on your profile, you'll can see this in your recent activity page (before the updates it didn't happen so)

Don't forget to type the "credits"!

Did you draw inspiration from some other artist? Did you use outfits, meshes, stuffs, poses or skins created by others? If so, don't forget it, but give them a mention in the field "Credits"!
We at Koinup are aware that the great part of creations are collaborative efforts. We love so much this kind of remixed creativity. So we provide our members a feature to give acknowledgement to other artists and people that help them or otherwise contribute directly or indirectly to the production of the works.
How can type the credits? thats very easy. While uploading a work, you have the field “Credits”, type into it all the acknowledgements you like. You can also type link and give detailed informations....

Twit this, add to digg, save to delicious and much more!

Maybe you know yet, but we just launched some new tools to share koinup artworks in your favourite social networks and websites.
I'm talking about the bottons to save Koinup pages on Digg, del.icio.us, Twitter and many other websites.
To perform these actions, you don't need to be logged in Koinup
You can find these bottons just below the head menu on the right side.
To save a content in Twitter, click on the “Twit this" botton and in the subsequent pop-up menu, type your twitter login name and password. Then, click on "twit this page" link. To save a Koinup content in the other social bookmarking websites as Digg, del.icio.us and many others websites (how many? have a look at the picture) click on the “BOOKMARK” botton, select the website you are going to enter and type login name and password. Then follow the specific instructions for each website...give them a try

Change you buddy icon! Now you can!

Last days we had the chance to work on a new feature. I’m talking about your buddy icon. Now, if you want, you can change it, as many time as you want.
We knew from some time that “changing the buddy icons” is an important feature, but we didn’t find enought time to tune it. Then, fortunately it happened and now you have the the chance to replace your buddy any time you like!
How can I change it ? It is very easy. Login in Koinup, go in “your skills & profile” page and click on “your buddy icon”. At this point you can delete your buddy or you can replace it with a new one!
I’m sure that everything will go ok, but don’t exhitate to contact us if you’ll have some probs while changing your buddy?

Become a fashion stylist!

Koinup is perfect to try this! Wear your favourite outfits and poses, make a lot of snapshots and publish them in Koinup as a great fashion set!
We have yet some great example of members using our storyboard in this way.
You can also try the perfect shot and condense your fashion style in only one picture.
