Koinup featured on Wired

I'm really proud to tell you that Koinup has been featured on Wired! The author of the article is the cyberpunk writer Bruce Sterling! Here's the story
we at Koinup are literally flattered. Cyberpunk culture was a concrete inspiration for us and I'm a big-big fan of Bruce Sterling writing, too.
I'm really glad that Bruce posted in his blog also some works from some Koinup members as Torrid, violentdoll, Hound

I'm not sure if I told you yet in other posts, but there is a sentence that gave us a lot of inspiration while creating Koinup:

by William Gibson, an other amazing cyberpunk writer!

For us that sentence mean: someone gave us technology, but we gradually learn to use it in a creative way..........that is what at Koinup you are doing.......

We at Koinup are glad to welcome works and people from other worlds, mmorpg and games. These days the website features contents from all over the metaverse

We have movies from There and World of Warcraft, pictures from The Lords of the Rings. Here are some of the coolest works from these worlds

As soon as more users will start to upload more contents from these amazing worlds......we'll build specific category for each of them......before this happen I suggest to members to type the name of the worlds or mmorpg, using the tags

Flickr, Twitter and Koinup, with just one click

Have you an account in Flickr? Are you a Twitter fan? Well, we have a feature that allow you to upload in Koinup, Flickr and Twitter with just one click!

It is called crosspost and it works in this way: when you upload a work in Koinup, our crosspost tool will send automatically your work to your Flickr pages and at the same time it twit a news to your Twitter page, saying that you are posting in Koinup!
How to crosspost your works? It is really easy. You have only to insert in you Koinup account your Flickr upload email and/or your Twitter credentials.
Once you did this, each time you'll post your pics they will be featured automatically in Flickr and their url will appear in Twitter

Browse author's works, by coolest and recent

Today, I'd like to talk about a new feature. It is some days that you can browse the author's works, filtering them by the most recent or by the coolest

Before this update, we had the chance to display works in that two way only in the list pages, that is when you had to browse Koinup by tags, when you did some search or when you went in the single words and media homepages.
Now instead, you can decide to view by coolest or recent also in the authors homepage. We think that this new feature is really useful:
1)for the author's, that with a quick look can see what it is most appreciated between its works
2)for the other members, which could benefit of new ways to enjoy works of their friends

Tips for machinima authors!

Unlike other websites, Koinup give machinima authors the chance to publish not only videos but also pictures and other kind of works as posters and stills

Do you have some addictional (bonus) contents for your movie as scene stills, some posters or wallpapers that you like to show and share together with your video?

Thats really great, cause in Koinup you have the chance to publish all of these stuffs!
You can use the media “picture” to showcase some stills from you latest videos or you can create some promotional posters!
or you can use the media “stories” to publish some storyboards of your upcoming machinima
