Submissions For Machinima Contest are Closed!

Hello Video-Makers, this post is just to tell you that submissions for the music videos contest are closed now! there are 55 entries!
The major part of them are really excting, with good music and good visuals! I know there will be only three winners!
Judges are already reviewing the videos; May 6 we will have the announcements

Thank you very much for taking part in the contest! We hope that you will keep to post your videos on Koinup. We are honored of the success of the contest! There has been a lot of press-coverage and some videos got a huge number of views and comments!

Postcards from SL to Koinup

Please remember to fill out all the fields, while sending postcards from SL to Koinup!
Type a Subject and type, also a caption in the message box! This will prevent a small bug still active in the grid related to postcards!
This bug don't prevent postcards to be correctly sent to the recipients email address, but it make the grid giving you an incorrect feedback while sending snaphots by email.

So in order to enjoy at the best the Send Postcards To Koinup feature, remember to type the subject and message line....

Are you wondering: how can I send a postcards from SL to my Koinup Gallery?
Well, it is very easy: go in your account
set-up your Koinup Upload Email, Copy and paste it
in the "Recipient's Email" in the Snapshot Preview!
Your postcards will reach Koinup in some minutes......

Kaneva is on Koinup!

There is new world in the list of metaverses hosted on Koinup! Today we have enabled a fully supported Kaneva section! We have received the request of adding Kaneva some weeks ago!

Some enthusiasts members have contacted us several time in order to get their fav world listed on Koinup, we have appreciated their feedback!

So now, you have a new exciting Kaneva homepage and moreover people on Koinup have the chance to choose Kaneva as their fav world or set-it up for their uploads

How, to set your Fav.World? Its easy. In your homepage, you have a box: My World is and you have to select from the manu, which is your main virtual world

If you have feedback on these features, please let us know!

We have temporary disabled the preview of Your Contacts' works in the Launch Page. We are doing some test in order to make more fast that page. Anyway, you don't have to worry about it.....this feature will come back soon on Koinup

This contest means a lot for Koinup! Not only because we have the chance to team up directly with Pastrami Linden, the team manager of Windlight, with Torley, the WindLight uber-fan and undefatiguable artist and with Vint Falken, the Best Known SL Neko Blogger!.....

But also because this contest is a big-big chance to highlight the beauty of the Windlight and how it has changed the skin of your SL World!

After some mounths in beta phases, Windlight has arrived on the main grid and now everyone can view Second Life as he never has seen before! Landscapes are more realistic, water give us reflections, clouds and colors are perfectly customizable!

Each partecipants can submit two entries! But Remember:
If you enter two submissions, they have to be different in style and shooted in different regions.
Moreover, we suggest you to focus on one the following directions: realism, surrealism, and wildcard


Photos can be submitted from April, 18 to May, 7
Winners will be announced May, 13

Second Life Postcards! Some tips

Koinup allows you to send postcards directly from Second Life to Koinup, without have to save the photos on your PC


Wanna know how to send a postcard from SL to Koinup?
Well, look here for a tutorial!
Anyway, It is a one click procedure! Go in your account
(you can view your account: http://www.koinup.com/account only if you are a registered member of Koinup) and set up your Koinup Email Adress.
Then, while you are in Second Life, send a postcard, to that recipients email address! Your Postcards will reach Koinup in a few minutes and they will have attached the slurl.

So you can also use this functionality to communicate, promote and brand your activity in world!

You can eventually subscribe to the contests you are currently running and stay tuned if there is some new entries!

Our Rss System is based on the Rss Media Standards, this has the good advantage to offer our use some addictional features! For example, thanks to this standard, you can stream Koinup contents on your Blog (mainly blogger). We have just builded a tutorial, explaining how to import Koinup contents on blog! Koinup supports Piclens! Piclens is a browser addon that allow a 3d cinematic presentation of web images! Tahnk to Piclens your Koinup Gallery can become a fully immersive space!
To enjoy this feature of Koinup, you have to install the addon!
Go here , download it and follow the screen instruction!
Once the component has been installed, Jump on Koinup and browse the latest works on the website!
You can activate the 3d immersive presentation, by dragging the mouse near a picture and clicking on the “Play” botton, that you will find at the botton of the image!
As soon as you clic, Koinup will become a 3d immersive art museum and your work will be browsable in more funny and engaging way!

Virtual Museum, New Exhibition!

Maybe with some delay, but we are almost ready with the new exhibition at the IMVU Museum!
The show features the three winners of the Contest and the other honorable mentions!

hey there, I wanna tell you that you have still one week for your Spring Sims Entries!
The Major part of you have posted only one entry. Its time to add the second one!

We don't know which will be the winners! but it for sure that our judges will have an hard work to pick only three winners.

Second Life Machinima Contest! (just launched!)

Take part in the Second Life Music Videos Contest and Win 20,000L$ plus the amazing movie-making tool MachinimaCam created By Redgrave CodeBastard! Ideas matter as much as technical skills!


This is the 1st Koinup Machinima Contest! It is restricted to Second Life users and it will concern the creation of a Music Video, using footages shooted in SL!

The theme is totally free. You can create a video, which features a journey in Second Life, or create a storyline machinima! Otherwise, you can show us footage from your favorite sims. Or just create a sequences of wonderful images and stream them, as a slideshow.....

Videos can be submitted from April, 2th to April, 29th
Winners will be announced May, 6

The jury is made up the two authoritative bloggers CodeBastard Redgrave and Tao Takashi

There will be three winners! Two will be picked by the jury and the third one will be the Community Winner! community winning videos is most faved and commented and appreciated submission between all the entries!

Winners will get 20,000 L$ plus the MachinimaCam
