Koinup mobile Wallpaper project: media coverage, numbers and some updates for the users

Let us update you about the 3D Wallpapers, the mobile app built by Koinup for the Nokia Ovi Store, that will bring the best images of virtual worlds to your mobile.

First important news is that you have only one day left to enter your submissions.

So far, both the two contests we have launched for the project (Avatars and Second Life snapshots) got a very positive feedback from the Koinup community.

The Avatars contest scored about 262 participants and 445 entries. While the Second Life snapshots contest got 247 participants and 635 entries.

Along with the community based success, 3D Wallpapers initiative has been recently covered in several media outlets.

1. Working Capital, the italian startup accelerator, reviewed all the Koinup project and wrote diffusely about the 3D Wallpapers application. Read more

2. Innovation cafe', the italian web portal dedicated to innovation and innovators, interviewed the Koinup Ceo (yours truly) and reported on the mobile upcoming app. Read more

3. New World Notes wrote a whole story, inviting readers to join the Second Life Snapshots Contest to help us scouting the most beautiful Second Life images to include in the app. Read more

One of the goals of 3D Wallpapers is to bring virtual worlds contents onto your mobile and give millions of mobile users the opportunity of browsing and joining the most amazing contents created within games and virtual worlds more easily and without any client to download.
