at 7:57 PMDesperately Seeking for Machinima

After the launch of HD support on Koinup, we started to drive more attention to Machinima. Because of this reason, we started the "Desperately Seeking Machinimist" Project. The initiative goal is to support and leverage the Machinima culture among the Koinup community. All the machinimists can join the project. They have only to join the "Desperately Seeking Machinimist"group on Koinup, add their machinima to the pool and on each week, a videomaker will be selected and featured on the Koinup Blog (and on the Koinup Fb page). Along with the 5 "special mentions", the aim of the project is to support the machinima efforts of all the Koinup members. Beyond the machinimists, all the Koinup members can join the project, by watching the videos and leave their feedbacks! GET STARTED HERE

at 7:54 PMEnjoy HD Machinima on Koinup
We just released a new "Koinup brand feature" aimed at improving the machinima experience on the website, both for creators and viewers. Starting from today, if you import a machinima from YouTube (the most favorited and recommended tool to shares video on Koinup) you can embed your videos with "HD" quality. Basically if you have HD videos on Youtube, you can now embed them on Koinup with the same "High Definition". With more than 5K videos published, Koinup is one of the favorited destinations to share and enjoy machinima on the web and now with the improved "video" experience, it will become even more popular among machimists.
Along with the HD broadcasting, this release came with a second interesting feature: "the support for iOS". It does mean that you can now watch all the videos published on Koinup, both on iPad, iPhone and iPod.
if you're a machinimist, and you're looking for a good website to share and let others known about your videos, join now Koinup and start to embed your machinima!
How to enjoy the HD?
If the video supports HD, when you mouse over the video display, you will see a link to switch to HD. Just click and the video will load in higher resolution.

at 8:08 PMSecond Life Terms Of Service Changes
On March 30th, Linden Lab, the makers of Second Life, made some substantial changes to their official Terms Of Service that have a strong effect in many areas of in-world activities - including Machinima and Photography. Some believe these changes are simply common sense courtesy, while others claim that TOS 2.0 is disabling the creative pool with their rules, which appear laden with gray areas.

Virtual Filmmaking
There are many things that can be said of virtual filmmaker Chantal Harvey. Prolific? Immeasurably. Creative? Without question. The encyclopedia of Miss Harvey's work is vastly diverse; From short corporate commercials and public service announcements earlier on, to bizarre comedic romps and short featurettes ripe with passion. More recently in her lengthy career - She has, perhaps, today more films of the Machinima genre than anyone else originating from her platform - over 150 at the time of this writing - and in that collective we bare witness to the evolution of a Machinimist. The volumes of work throughout her virtual life stand as a testament to the path she has walked, and where she stands today.

at 5:59 PMA new Frenzoo mini-machinima feature.
These days, Frenzoo released a new feature that further empowers its already vibrant and active community of users. I'm talking about the new Frenzoo mini-machinima utility that allows users to record a few seconds of action in the client and save it automatically as a gif animated. The micro-machinima feature, that it is something as "an animation tool meets a video capturing software", provide Frenzoo members with a new way to share their experience from the client to the web, in a easy and quick way. With this mini-machinima feature, Frenzoo is going to hugely appeal to the large community of virtual worlds users that are more interested in creating contents for the web (pics, machinima, artworks) than inworld stuff. Some of these users are also huge fans of Koinup, too.
