Koinup and Twinity are Pleased to Announce "Powered by Real Life", the 1st Twinity Machinima Contest

Milan, Italy (PRWEB) July 17, 2009 -- "Powered by Real Life" is a machinima contest, where the participants are asked to film their virtual lives in Twinity, the virtual world that mashes virtual and real and submit their machinima on Koinup, the web 2.0 platform for virtual worlds.

The participants of the contest have the chance to submit their entries from 15th of july to 20th of August. After the submission time, the Koinup community will vote the videos and pick the winners. During the contest period, Wikinima, a company specialized in machinima, will host in Twinity a series of workshops, events and classes on machinima filming, editing and creation.

The winning videos will be projected in the Bitfilm @Bitropolis Cinema in Twinity and they will be also featured in the Bitfilm website. Bitfilm Festival own a dedicated virtual space in Twinity and it works as media sponsor of the initiative.

The goal of the contest is to invite participants to express themselves in Twinity by creating videos and start to use the tools provided by Twinity to empower their creativity. Koinup is supporting the initiative by offering the participants the official group of the event, where they can share videos, leave feedback, meet each others.

Machinima is a new form of creativity and it is quickly becoming one of the most widespread art genres among virtual worlds members. Twinity and Koinup goals are to support the machinima culture and help virtual worlds members to get familiar with this innovative art form.
