The Postcards are one of the most solid and popular features on Koinup. The Koinup Postcard Functionality is supported in many virtual worlds. You can send postcards from Second Life, Twinity and There.com and share your pics from these worlds to Koinup, with just a click, without saving to your HD.
Sending postcards is the easier way to share impressions from the virtual world to the web. In order to send postcards to Koinup, you have to login on the website, go to your account, set up a Koinup Upload Email Address (and then make sure to update, by clicking on "save changes")

Koinup and Twinity are super excited to co-hosting Rocking the Metaverse, the 1st cross-world music tour bringing great music in virtual worlds.
Come party to live performances from the likes of Dizzy Banjo, Slim Warrior, Grace Mcdunnough, and Doubledown Tandino.
During the show, you will have the opportunity to join the Twinity Postcard Competition. Postcards from the Edge (of SL). The Machinima
If you missed the first appointment of Postcards from the Edge, (just a reminder "Postcards from the Edge" is the "music and postcards" event created by Doubledown Tandino and hosted at the Alexander Beach sim) you can now appease your eyes, by watching the amazing machinima report created by Joanna .
In the video (called: DJ Doubledown mixes live at PFTE) you can admire the impressive builds at the Alexander Beach sim and the incredible Doubledown mixing music and entertaining the crew, with some super-funny animations!

Postcards from the Edge of Second Life is a postcard contest and music event that will take place each THURSDAY in the amazing:
Alexander Beach (Second Life!)
The following is calendar:
May 7th - THEME: Exploration and Close-Ups - Contest: $2000L best photo
May 14th - THEME: Lighting - Contest $2000L best photo
May 21st - GAME: "Find it from the Photo" Contest - Multiple prizes
May 28th - THEME: SPEED SHOOT - Best Photographer within the 2 hours - $5000
But along with the contest, you will have also the chance to listen to great music and be entertained by the amazing emcee Doubledown Tandino
What you have to do? Join the crew each thursday at the Alexander Beach
(11am-1pm(slt)) listen music, dance and meet your friends there.
DJ Doubledown Tandino mixes up the blend of electronica, house, fusion, broken beat, and world beat tunes, while everyone is invited to photograph the surroundings.

Set-up one or more default recipients email address for Second Life Postcards. A Talia Tokugawa Tutorial
Second Life Postcards are one of the most widespread activities within the Second Life community.
Postcards allow people to invite friends or share in real time the places they are visiting and the events they are joining in SL.
Koinup provide you with the chance to create and setup your Koinup Upload Email Address (if you're logged, visit your Koinup Account) and send Second Life postcards directly from SL to your Koinup gallery.
One of the main problems for people sending postcards is that they have to type their Koinup Upload Email each postcard they want to send to Koinup (or elsewhere).
Now, Talia Tokugawa made a tutorial to set up one or more default recipients email address. This will help you to save your time, cause you won't have to type (and remember) each time your Koinup Upload Email. Read the guide

Twinity launch postcards. A new virtual world easier to explore and share with friends
Today, some members sent postcards from the virtual world Twinity, directly to Koinup. It is a great news, because a new virtual world deployed the postcard tool, allowing people to share more easily informations from the the inner of the world to the outside web-sphere.

Try now to send a postcard!
Each Koinup member has its own Koinup Upload Email. Thanks to this upload mail address, members can send postcards from There and Second Life to Koinup without saving pics on hard drive!
The Send Postcard Feature is a fast, easy, cool way to share photos, places, slurl and hot spot of our virtual life!
If though, easy to use......Some people came across some difficulties while sending their first postcard!
So, beside the step by step tutorial.......we have enabled a public email address, that each one can use for sending its first test-postcards!

When in Second Life, you can send a postcard to that email address and get your postcard featured on Koinup!

hello guys, let us clear how to send postcards from Second Life to Koinup, without saving the postcards on hard-drive!
Send Postcards Tutorial!
1) If you are a member of Koinup, you can check it our for your Koinup Upload Email, here! ( http://www.koinup.com/account/ )
please login with your Koinup Credentials, before enter this page
2) If you aren't a member you can still have the chance to send postcards as visitor, by sending them to this email address: try.now@post.koinup.com
3) Once you are in the account page ( http://www.koinup.com/account/ )
You can customize your Koinup Upload Email Address, by modifying the characters in the square and then clicking on: save changes
4) Once you are in Second Life, follow these steps:
Take snapshot -
Select "Send by Email" -
Click on "Send" -
Copy and Paste your Koinup Upload Email Address in the Postcard PopUp-
(paste it in the Email Snapshot Pop Up, in the field: recipien'ts email)
Eventually, "Send" the postcard
5) Don't forget to type a title in the subject line and a description in the message box. If you don't fill the fields, sometime postcards fails to arrive on Koinup!

1) If you wanna have a preview of how the postcards will be on Koinup, select the option: Freeze Frame!
(in the snapshot preview)
2) do you wanna add tags directly in the postcards, so that you don't have to add again, later? Well, type :

3) Your postcards are not yet on Koinup? Thats ok, they will take some minutes before being on the site! so, check it our later!

Postcards from SL to Koinup
Please remember to fill out all the fields, while sending postcards from SL to Koinup!
Type a Subject and type, also a caption in the message box! This will prevent a small bug still active in the grid related to postcards!
This bug don't prevent postcards to be correctly sent to the recipients email address, but it make the grid giving you an incorrect feedback while sending snaphots by email.
So in order to enjoy at the best the Send Postcards To Koinup feature, remember to type the subject and message line....
